ChapterBuzz Book of the Year 2024

What you'll need

To compete in the ChapterBuzz Book of the Year Competition, you must obtain at least 3 reviews for your book.


The 2 types of reviews

There are two types of reviews: network reviews and non-network reviews.

1. Network review. When you contact a reviewer in our Service Directory for a review, you can rest assured knowing their review blogs already meet our requirements, because these reviewers have been pre-screened.

2. Non-network review. You are welcome to find a reviewer on your own, but please make sure their blog meets the requirements below.


To get a network review

Please contact one of the reviewers in our Service Directory. Once they write their review, they will be able to register the review on the ChapterBuzz site by clicking "+ Add review" on your book's ChapterBuzz page.


To get a non-network review

If you go with a reviewer who's not listed on our site, it's a non-network review. Feel free to contact any reviewer you wish as long as their blog meets the requirements below.

All non-network reviews:

• Must contain a direct link to your book. Somewhere in the review, there must be a direct link to your book on ChapterBuzz so readers can easily click through to read it.

• Must be posted on a review blog. Must be a blog whose primary purpose is book reviews.
  
  To determine whether the blog's primary purpose is book reviews, the blog must:
  • Be current. It must have at least 5 posted book reviews within the last year
  • Be mostly reviews. 75% of all posts on the blog must be book reviews
  • Have quality reviews. 75% of all reviews must consist of at least 250 words

• Must use the 5-star rating system. Reviewer must give a rating based on five stars (half-stars are okay).

• Can be paid or unpaid. Reviewer can be compensated—but only as long as the compensation is for his or her time, not for a good rating. See the Official Rules for more.

• Are good forever. As long as the review meets all of these requirements, it counts, even if it was posted a while back.

If you get a non-network review, please contact me with the link to your review and I'll enter it manually to make sure it counts.
